Simon Vestner grew up with elevators. He is the grandson of Wilhelm Vestner, who founded the eponymous elevator manufacturer in 1930. For several years, Simon co-managed the successful family business with his father. However, he decided to embark on his own path and redefine the role of elevators in buildings. At the forefront of his endeavors was a strong drive for innovation. Drawing upon his extensive expertise in data, technology, and, of course, elevators, he spent years developing a box for the digitalization of elevators under the brand AUFZUGHELDEN. Concurrently, recognizing that elevator data can also provide insights into the entire building, the company “Digital Spine” was established as an umbrella organization for these offerings and solutions, as elevators become the digital backbone of the building.
